Who Is Kerr Sound?

Hello, my name is Steve Kerr, sole proprietor of Kerr Sound. When you work with Kerr Sound, you work with me. For nearly a decade my career has been dedicated to audio, video, and home theater technology. In this industry, knowing the background and history of the technology is important. Over the past ten years I've watched home theater technology that was once exclusively high end product available only to the affluent become much more common and affordable to a much broader population. The equipment has improved and changed dramatically but also become increasingly more complex.

I have the history, education, training and experience that it takes to exceed your expectations. I've worked on projects of every scope and scale from simple TV hookups and quality stereo music systems to surround sound, multiple video displays, home theaters, front projectors, conference rooms, distributed audio and video, custom programmed control systems, and more. Beginning in New York City in 2000 I designed and sold home theater and audio systems for Stereo Exchange, a prominent high-end audio/video retailer. During my time in New York I also earned a degree in audio technology form City College of New York and worked as an independent audio recording engineer. Later I moved to South Jersey and became an installation crew manager for Tweeter, a home electronics retailer who specialized in providing excellent installation services to their customers.

I have as much pride in my work as you do in your home, and I respect the order, integrety and cleanliness of both. I'm here to do home improvement work and therefore should leave your home in better shape than it was when before I arrived. I employ clean, safe and careful work practices with attention to the integrity of your home and furnishings, right down to shoe covers to protect your flooring. That attention to detail doesn't stop in the equipment room either. I find satisfaction in a well tailored wire bundle - you won't find disordely tangles of messy wires behind my installations.
